Kenya Federation of American Football (KFAF) is honored to announce the appointment of George Alwanga as the director of international Federation of American Football (IFAF) in Africa; from the just concluded International Federation of American Football (IFAF) annual congress held in Panama August 10-12, 2018 .
He has served close to 4 years as the president of Kenya Federation of American Football (KFAF) and with his wealth of experience over the years and proving his commitment to the sport we are therefore excited to have him in this new leadership position to help us actualize our visions.
He is tasked to further International Federation of American Football (IFAF) agendas across the continent, this will include introducing the game to other countries and creating American Football related events whilst nurturing talents…
In his acceptance letter to the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Mr.Alwanga stated…
“It is with humble honour that I accept IFAF nomination as IFAF-Director Africa. My nomination has filled me with a strong sense of pride and I would like to thank the Presidium and the entire congress for this singular honour. I understand fully the responsibilities of this position and look forward to interacting with the IFAF and its membership while representing IFAF-AFRICA in a professional manner.
I am excited to start setting up required structures as well as getting into the dynamics of creating new events for Africa. My enthusiasm for the position is evident in the structure I created placing Kenya on a global map, More so my established relation with IFAF for the last five years.
I am especially excited about introducing the game to other African Nations and thus expanding IFAF -Membership Africa whilst nurturing talents.”
